All students in Seattle Public Schools participate in WA State and district mandated testing in May. The windows that we have to administer the assessments are specific and limited, so it is very important to us that all of our students are present at school for the testing windows so we can see their academic growth since the start of the school year. This spring our testing schedule will look like this:
May 5-8, SBA ELA testing in grades 3 and 4
May 12-15, SBA Math testing in grades 3 and 4 AND SBA ELA & Math for grade 5
May 18-22, MAP ELA & Math testing for all grades K-5
If you wish for any reason to opt your student out of state testing (SBA ELA & Math for grades 3-5), please reach out to me at dsmcardle@seattleschools.org for instructions.
